Gorgeous Renissance castle, shame about lack of English tour A really beautiful castle with superb Renaissance frescoes and a big collection of late medieval arms and armour. Very sadly, admission is only by guided tour, and although they obviously sometimes offer it in English, the day I visited I had to tag along with an Italian group, / TripAdvisor reviews. The Churburg in Upper Vinschgau is one of the richest furnished castles of Tirol. The climax of the visit is the European famous armory chamber. The author presents the year-old history of the Churburg, which since the 16th century is in the possession of the aristocratic Trapp family.
